This ring arrived today and the stone appears black, not sapphire blue as shown in the picture. When I took it off my finger and held it up to the light and looked through it from underneath, the blue colour shows. However, when it's worn, or just looked at normally, the stone looks deep black. Very disappointed because of this. I expected to receive a stone that was the same colour, or at least close, to the one pictured here.

That being said, the setting is beautiful, the surrounding crystals sparkle nicely, the size 6 I ordered fit perfectly and the setting with the sapphire isn't too high, it fits quite low against the crystals and that I think, is the problem, the light doesn't shine through because of the setting.

I will be returning this ring because in the end, I want a blue stone that LOOKS blue when worn. Can't rate this ring higher than a 2 because the entire look is just wrong. I gave a 2 for the fit and overall size of the piece. I wish I liked it enough to keep it, but I don't want to wear a stone that appears to be black, I want the Diana engagement blue sapphire ring look. I'm so disappointed, I looked so forward to it's arrival, only to find it isn't what I expected at all. Guess I should have paid more heed to the other reviews here that said the stone was not blue. :(

It is a lovely ring and quite an impressive likeness. I can get it wet and, in spite of its low cost, so far it isn't losing its sheen, which I find amazing. The only complaint I have is that the band is a little too thin and solitary. The color is rich and the zircons really shine under light.
