You have to do some trimming, but once it's done, this is some of the best protection you can get for your 15" Macbook Pro.

Good case but if your looking for a tight fit, you need to get the foam inserts. Just search under pelican 1090 foam inserts on here and you will find it.

The case is better than most cases as far as tuff-ness. Definitely not 100% waterproof/dust-proof, etc. On the sides you can see that the o-ring/SEAL does not get compressed at all. front & back it does tho, but thats b-cuz the locking mechanism does seem to work pretty good. Trust me on this, I'm a Turbo-Jet Engine Mechanic on single engine aircraft & I pay SUPER close attention to details... This case's o-ring/seal isn't equally seated around the entire square of the case. its only tight at the hinge & the locking handle-NOT THE SIDES. It stinks cause most Pelican products i've seen are usually pretty good quality, (Im in military & use pelican cases 4everything at work)

*Once retailers/people sell these out, you can no longer purchase these exact cases from "Pelican". I called the company myself to buy one directly and this particular model is being re-designed, so that tells you something right there...

i did ALOTTA research to absolutely make sure i got the pelican 1090 & NOT the 1090 CC (there is a difference, go to pelican.com). But unfortunately, most sellers don't really pay attn. to details. its a gamble with most of them. I ended up getting the 1090CC which has NO FOAM, but has 4 little squares that stick wherever u want to put them. Although it DOES say it in the title that it is just the 1090 with pick & pluck foam. I actually called amazon to make sure too, because i was going on a long deployment & really needed the right one. The amazon employee just read the same product details i was reading, so she didn't really know for sure which 1 they were sending me (Online shop'n sucks like that!). The product info must have been copy & pasted, thinking that the 1090 & 1090 CC had the same insides which they DON'T & ALOT of sellers DON'T realize this. Like for example, if you read the product info on this case it will say it has "pick & pluck foam" Guess what, IT DOES NOT!!! Had to go get my own foam & cut out a square to secure lap-top

Basically i wanted "pick & pluck foam" in my case which is just the Pelican 1090. >>>>NOT the 1090CC which comes with just 4 little squares, but thats what i got anyways after hours of research!! most sellers don't recognize the differences between the 1090 &1090CC in their product details. They just kinda group them together i guess..

Go to pelican.com & you'll see my point...

I'm just happy i was able to get it for around $60.00 - I got $30 off applying for a Amazon Card & free ship's. I fortunately work in a shop that i had access to foam, to help really secure my over-priced mac-book pro!!!
